Haryana 1st northern state to initiate free single donor platelets for dengue patients: CM
Chandigarh: Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday claimed that Haryana had become the first state in the northern region of the country to initiate free single donor platelets for dengue patients in the govt hospitals.Addressing a programme organised in Ladwa, Kurukshetra, on the birthday of Manohar Lal Khattar, the former chief minister of Haryana and Union minister for power and housing, Saini said dengue patients were also provided reimbursement of Rs 11,000.He also informed that 154 blood centres were operational in the state."The govt has surpassed last year's target by collecting more than 4.5 lakh units of blood against the target of 3.3 lakh units. Haryana also received the Blood Donation Excellence Award from the Govt of India for the second consecutive year for the highest blood donation in 2024-25," said Saini.The CM, accompanied by the vice-chairperson of the Haryana State Child Welfare Council, Suman Saini, and former minister of state Subhash Sudha, also inaugurated a blood donation camp and honoured blood donors with badges and certificates.MSID:: 130829081 413 |
