On a day when close to 12,000 students were appearing in the Common Entrance Test (CET) at Panjab University, the local police arrested an outsider, who was flaunting a country-made pistol on campus.

CHANDIGARH: On a day when close to 12,000 students were appearing in the Common Entrance Test (CET) at Panjab University, the local police arrested an outsider, who was flaunting a country-made pistol on campus. Sukhdeep Singh, who was accompanied by members of Student Organization of Panjab University (SOPU), was arrested under the Arms Act on Sunday afternoon from the campus.

“We got information that few SOPU members are accompanying a friend who is flaunting a pistol. The boy was brought to campus by his friends,” said Gurmukh Singh, SHO of Sector 11 police station.
