Chandigarh: GLC Bombay and National Law University, Jodhpur secured top honours at Arguendo'25, the 8th National Law Fest organised by the University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University.
GLC Bombay won the UILS National Moot Court Competition, earning a Rs 30,000 cash prize. Christ University, Delhi NCR, finished as runners-up with 20,000.
In the 5th Justice AS Anand Mediation and Negotiation Competition, Vidhi Shah and Gauraansh Arora from NLU Jodhpur were named Best Negotiating Pair, while Payal Shahi from Lloyd Law College, Noida, was adjudged Best Mediator. The runners-up in the negotiation category were Pratham Tiwari and Adithya Mundhra from NLU Odisha.
Khushi from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, was the runner-up mediator. Tiwari and Mundhra were also named Best Negotiating Pair in the preliminary rounds, while Kartik Bhat from Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law won Best Mediator in prelims.
The Moot Court final was judged by Justice Alka Sarin, Divanshu Jain, and Anu Pal, while the Mediation and Negotiation final was adjudicated by Justice Meenakshi I Mehta, Justice Ritu Tagore (retd.),
and Puneeta Sethi.
Held in a hybrid format, the event attracted participants from leading law schools across India. It was overseen by Panjab University vice chancellor Renu Vig, UILS director Shruti Bedi, faculty members Rattan Singh, Sabina Salim, Supreet Gill, and Gurpreet Kaur.
