Two minor girls were killed by their grandmother and two uncles, and their bodies flung into a canal, for allegedly having an affair with their cousins.

SONEPAT: Two minor girls were killed by their grandmother and two uncles, and their bodies flung into a canal, for allegedly having an affair with their cousins. While the bodies were found on Friday, the three were arrested on Saturday.
The girls were identified as Chanchal (14), a school dropout and daughter of Surender Varma and her cousin sister Raj Kumari (12), daughter of Manoj Varma.

The accused had reportedly taken them in a car on the pretext of visiting a relative and then strangulated them to death and dumped their bodies in the Delhi branch of western Yamuna Canal near Badwasni village. Sonepat SP Rajinder Singh said the accused, Vidhya Devi, with her two sons, Suraj Varma and Chand Varma, were arrested.
