ROHTAK: Girls outshone boys by a margin of six percent in the Class XII result declared by Board of School Education,
Haryana (BSEH) on Wednesday. Girls secured 90.51% pass percentage while boys got 83.96% in the Class XII board exams. Overall, 87.08% of 2,45,685 students who appeared in the senior secondary exam passed. This year had the best pass percentage of Class XII exams in the last seven years of the BSEH exams record.
In 2016, the pass percentage was 62.40% while it was 64.50% in 2017.
In the result, students from rural areas fared better than their counterparts in urban areas. 87. 71% rural students passed while 85.96% passed the exam. Among the government versus private schools, the latter schools fared better by securing 89.72% while the former had got 85.46%. The state’s 22nd district Charkhi Dadri had got the best pass percentage while Mewat was on the bottom of the pass percentage list. The students of class 12th can check their results by logging on bseh.org.in website.
Talking to the media, Jagbir Singh, BSEH chairman said that girls had performed better than boys in senior secondary class. He said that the students can log on to the board website to check their result from 5pm onwards on Wednesday.
Rohtak girl tops state boardKajal of Nindana village of Rohtak district topped the board exams by securing 498 marks out of 500. Kajal is a Class XII student of arts stream in KCM Public senior secondary school, Nindana.
She is a daughter of farmer and now wants to shape her career in the Indian Army as an officer. “My parents used to say that forced by circumstances they could not study but want me to study more and more”, Kajal said.
Farmer’s daughter takes 3rd rank Kriti Dindyal from Karnal’s Bastali village has secured 3rd position in Art stream in the 12th class examination of which results were declared by HBSE on Wednesday. She has secured 494 marks out of 500.
