Girl's kidnap: Family of bride, groom summoned

CHANDIGARH: Cops have obtained the video recording of the marriage celebration in community centre, Sector 40, from where a 5-year-old girl was allegedly abducted on March 11. The family members of the bride and the groom have been summoned to identify the clippings of suspicious persons.
The abducted girl was found abandoned at night near Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40, after a sexual assault.
Cops also summoned the catering staff and the DJ that were hired for the occasion. SHO of PS-39, Inspector Charanjeet Singh, said, ''The catering staff and the DJ has been summoned. The victim and her family members would be summoned after two-three days.''
Police said at the time of the crime, the girl had raised objections. The DJ had allegedly ignored the plight of the victim, said the family members.
The incident was exposed after the parents of the girl had found her missing and had raised the alarm. Cops were informed and a person near the community centre had told the police that an unidentified man was taking the girl with him. Watchman of the government school, Pritam Singh, had spotted the abandoned girl and had informed the police control room.
