Gangster’s aide nabbed; pistols, cartridges seized

Patiala: Ropar police have arrested gangster Jaggu Bhagwanpuria’s accomplice Vishal Verma and seized nine pistols and 20 live cartridges from him.Ropar SSP Vivek Sheel Soni said a team led by SP (investigation) Manwinderbir Singh nabbed Verma. “The accused had also supplied weapons on a large scale earlier, but escaped from police in Hoshiarpur. A case has been registered at Bullowal police station, Hoshiarpur. Police remand will be obtained by producing him in the court. Probe is on in the case,” he said. tnn
