Police have booked gangsters Jagga Takhtmal, Balkar, and Gujji of Mandi Kalanwali along with their unidentified local accomplice.

They also seized a car that the shooters had abandoned. Gangster Jagga Takhtmal has also claimed responsibility for the double murder and threatened to kill the two survivors. Victim Deepak had 10 criminal cases against him, while Jagga has 15, and those charges include robbery and attempt to murder.

Sirsa superintendent of police Arpit Jain said: "Five teams, including a cybercrime squad, will go after the accused. Jagga's family has fled Takhtmal village, so the teams will look for it in Rajasthan and Punjab." Victims Deepak and Birender, and survivors Amandeep and Paramjit were targeted after returning to Kalanwali from a court hearing in Sirsa on Monday.

The shots were fired on the Desumalkana road at 3pm, from a car that intercepted their path and hit their vehicle. Gangster Jagga Takhtmal bragged on Instagram that he had murdered Deepak and his partner publicly for hooliganism at Kalanwali.
