Gang of bike thieves busted, 2 arrested

Panchkula: Panchkula police have busted a gang of bike thieves with the arrest of two men and recovery of five stolen motorcycles from them. According to the police, a team of detective staff, led by sub-inspector Yudhveer Singh, apprehended the duo, identified as Karan Khan alias Kannu and Mohit Kumar, both residents of Kharak Mangoli, district Panchkula.One of the stolen bikes belonged to Hindpal Sangwan, a resident of Sector 16 and a clerk in a govt hospital located in Sector 6. In his complaint with the police, Sangwan said he had parked the bike near the oxygen plant located in Sector 6. The bike was not there when he returned from duty. Police registered a case under Section 303 (2) of the BNS.Acting on a tip-off, two accused were arrested from old Panchkula. The accused were produced in a court and taken on a 5-day police remand. During the remand, 5 stolen bikes were recovered from the accused.
