Bikram Majithia submits apology

Amritsar: Former Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) minister Bikram Singh Majithia went to the Akal Takht secretariat on Friday to submit his apology as directed by the Sikh clergy. Notably, Majithia is one among the 17 former cabinet colleagues of Sukhbir Badal, president Shiromani Akali Dal who were directed by Sikh clergy to submit their clarification and apology at Akal Takht with regards to the allegations of ‘grave sins’ committed during Akali regime in Punjab from 2007 to 2017.Majithia refused to respond to the media queries.Goons linked to Goldy Brar heldAmritsar: Police have arrested two persons with alleged connections to gangster Goldy Brar, and have recovered four pistols from their possession. Giving details, Amritsar police commissioner Ranjit Singh Dhillon informed that the police have arrested Harshdeep Singh and Gursharanpreet Singh, both residents of Faridkot. Atwal has appealed to the chief minister to resolve these issues at the earliest. The general secretary said the association has issued guidelines to engineers for ensuring supply continuity and safety during the ongoing protest by the various employee unions.Pet goes missing, husband bookedLudhiana: A woman has filed a case against her husband after their pet went missing. She fears that her husband may have either abandoned or killed the pet. Complainant Jasneet Kaur Bindra said they had a German Shepherd (female), named Sheffy, for more than 10 years. The pet, according to the complainant, loved her and her children and she raised her like her own child. She has also alleged that her husband had no love for the pet.
