LUDHIANA: Onkar Singh, a foreman was brutally stabbed to death six days back by two others because of job rivalry. The Ludhiana police unearthed the murder case here Tuesday.
DSP, M S Dhesi today in a press conference said Onkar Singh, the foreman at S S Products, which makes cycle tyre pumps at Gill village was killed by a former foreman, Dashrat Verma of Balliyan village of UP, along with his nephew, Satinder Kumar Verma, hailing from the same village.

The Saddar police station team has arrested Satinder Kumar, while Dashrat himself has fled. The police has sent a team to UP to chase the accused, informed Dhesi. He said that Satinder had told how the two had hit Onkar’s head with a stone, and stabbed him in the neck, face, chest, etc. He said they had taken away his cycle and tiffin box, which was recovered by the police. They had left the body near the petrol pump, where the police had recovered it on 15th January.
It was learnt that Dashrat was a foreman at the factory, and after Onkar’s joining, he was expelled from the job.
