the fact finding committee comprising president amarjit singh dhillon, renowned educationists ps jammu, nirbhai singh and mohan singh sandhu has been asked to submit the report within a week. according to dhillon, the forum felt that the incident had damaged the ''moral fabric'' of the university. president walks out of puta meet: the general body meeting of punjabi university teachers' association (puta), here, on friday, ended in a fiasco.at the start of the meeting, president ds dhillon, ignoring elected secretary ns atri, asked joint secretary sm verma to conduct the proceedings. some members protested, saying that the meeting could be convened only by the secretary. soon members were engaged in a heated argument and the president and his supporters left the house. the meeting then was conducted by atri. the alleged harassment of a girl student in the university was also condemned.a probe has been demanded. later, dhillon told mediapersons that atri's suspension had been approved, and the meeting had no meaning. atri, however, said no such resolution had been passed in the house. evms preparation starts feb 5: according to district election officer and deputy commissioner jasbir singh bir, the electronic voting machines would be prepared for the polling starting february 5 to february 8 at central library, in the presence of representatives of candidates and political parties. he said the machines would be handed over to supervisors on february 12.
