Farmers claim Haryana minister adopts different tone on farmers’ march to Delhi
BATHINDA: Protesting farmer forums have taken note of the latest assertions by Haryana agriculture minister Shyam Singh Rana, stating that development doesn’t happen where movements occur.Kisan Mazdoor Morcha leader Sarvan Singh Pandher, commenting on it on Monday, said, “Earlier, Rana Ji (Shyam Singh Rana) and Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu stated they don't have any problem when farmers march on foot, but now they have said that the state where movements happen, development doesn't. They say we don't have any agenda. I want to ask Rana Ji, when BJP used to do country-wide movements before 2014, did they stop development? If we did not have any agenda, then why did the central minister come to talk to us? They don't want us to go to Delhi. In the last nearly 10 months of barricading here, there was a loss to people, and the central govt is responsible for it. The talks should happen."Pandher went on to say that they are putting up at the Shambhu border. Police are deployed there. Their jathas will walk on foot to Delhi starting from December 6. Whatever they require, they have left it to the people of Haryana, and they expect it from them.
