Farmers' bodies to burn land acquisition ordinance copies on Jan 25

BATHINDA: Accusing the Narendra Modi-led government of working against farmers by amending the land acquisition Act, the farmers' organizations have decided to burn copies of the ordinance on January 25. Before burning copies of the ordinance, the organizations will hold marches at various villages in Bathinda, Mansa, Barnala and Muktsar districts.
BKU Ekta Ugrahan general secretary Sukhdev Singh Kokri and Punjab Khet Mazdoor union secretary Lachman Singh Sewewala said the ordinance is clearly anti-farmers and pro-corporate houses.
