Fake transfer letter perplexes UT police
CHANDIGARH: Only two days after his transfer to Chandigarh, newly-appointed director general of the labour bureau, Daljeet Singh, was issued a suspension letter from the ministry of finance in New Delhi. Though this letter was typed on the ministry's letterhead with signatures and stamps of officials concerned, it later turned out to be fake.
After a probe for over a month, the Chandigarh police registered a case under various sections of IPC against unknown persons on Friday.
