JIND: After his estranged uncle and INLD leader Abhay Singh Chautala held an election campaign in Uchana Kalan segment of Jind district, deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala too has become active, and has held around 60 programmes in 12 hours. Uchana Kalan assembly seat is represented by Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) leader Dushyant Chautala. A few days ago, Abhay Chautala had announced that INLD patriarch OP Chautala may contest election from this seat against Dushyant Chautala, if the EC permits the party (INLD) to do so.

Abhay Chautala, during his visit to several villages, had launched multiple attacks on Dushyant Chautala and held him responsible for poor development of the area.

Taking a dig at Dushyant Chautala, Abhay said that the latter has “deceived his family and every section of society.”

However, as soon as Abhay Chautala completed his campaign, Dushyant too toured the villages and met with people over various “tea programmes.”

While interacting with mediapersons, Dushyant Chautala said that Rs 160 crore has been recently earmarked for the development of roads in the segment. “The present BJP-JJP led coalition government has carried out development works at a record level. We have issued thousands of crores for Uchana Kalan in the past three-and-half-years,” said Dushyant.
