conducted a daylong resuscitation boot camp on Monday on “Learning the art of resuscitation in emergency room: Make the heart beat!”
A total of 90 resident doctors from across North India got one-to-one hands-on training in various aspects of resuscitation, including learning the skill of basic life support, managing uncontrollable bleeding, inserting chest tubes in trauma patients, securing IV lines and airway in life threatening situations and reviewing cardiac arrest drugs.
The role of ultrasound and its integration with resuscitation was taught through various stations at the camp.
The programme included special scenarios of maternal, neonatal and perioperative cardiac arrest with leadership and human factors as didactic lectures.
The progrsam was accredited with 4 CME points through

Punjab Medical Council

. Students also pledged their organs to save life and strengthen the noble cause.
