CHANDIGARH: The dicey weather in the past few days has left Tricity residents undecided whether to keep woollens away or not. The unexpected light rainfall on Saturday morning in the city and its adjoining areas was a surprise to residents since temperature has been on a consistent rise for long.
Weathermen at Chandigarh meteorological centre have forecast drizzle in the next 24 hours.

"This is happening due to western disturbances". On March 1, maximum temperature had touched 30 degrees celsius. But Saturday saw a drop of 2 degrees after the rain. Weather officials said that the trade winds which lead to western disturbances are frequent but no strong enough, this is why there is no heavy downpour. Furthermore, dust storm on Saturday evening made things uneasy for residents and especially commuters. This could also lead to several health issues.
