Dhami praises Gupta, bats for double engine govt in Hry

Panchkula: Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday addressed poll rallies in Panchkula district to support BJP candidates Gian Chand Gupta and Shakti Rani Sharma (Kalka). Dhami, while addressing the public, slammed the Congress for promoting corruption and nepotism. “The youth have faith in the BJP, as only the BJP can secure their future. Jobs were sold during Congress rule. The real motive of the Congress is to indulge in corruption and promote nepotism,” Dhami said. Praising the BJP candidate from Panchkula, CM Dhami said that Gian Chand Gupta has ensured that development work worth crores is being done in the constituency. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has changed the condition and direction of the country. India has become strong and safe under the leadership of Modi. The double engine govt has taken Haryana to great heights. Haryana is moving rapidly towards becoming a developed state. The Delhi Mumbai E-way and the Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway are picture of Haryana's development,” the Uttarakhand CM said. Dhami also claimed that during the Congress rule in Haryana, farmers used to get cheques of Rs 2 each. “Congress is a party that insults farmers,” he added.On the other hand, Gian Chand Gupta claimed that development works worth ₹5,000 crores have been done in Panchkula. “Earlier, one had to go to Chandigarh for MRI and other tests, now all the tests are being done in Panchkula,” he added.

Cong, BJP candidates trade barbs over Panchkulas development

Gian Chand Gupta, BJP candidate for Panchkula, labeled the Congress manifesto as unachievable promises and urged voters to support BJP for Haryana's development. Conversely, Congress candidate Chander Mohan criticized BJP's governance in Panchkula and pledged various benefits including affordable LPG cylinders and jobs if elected.
