PANCHKULA: Madhu Sharma, wife of Haryana IPS officer Ravi Kant Sharma, prime suspect in Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, on Tuesday alleged that women of her family and that of her acquaintances were being harassed by Delhi Police.
In a statement issued here this evening, she said "the Delhi police are trying to book me only because I stood up for my husband and exposed the fact that he is being framed by political powers."

By doing so it has exposed once again a sheer disregard for civil liberties and dignity of womenfolk."
The Delhi police have filed a report against her stating that she did not cooperate in the investigation.
She claimed that since neither Delhi Police approached her for questioning nor served a notice under CrPC, how can they accuse her of not cooperating.
Reacting to rejection of bail of Sharma by a Delhi court on Tuesday, she said, "I have full faith in the judiciary and we will approach the higher courts."
