Defence demands Kundu’s and PCR officials’ statements
CHANDIGARH: In the high profile stalking case wherein city-based DJ
The defence on Thursday demanded for the statement of Varnika Kundu along with that of PCR officials, who arrested the two accused. The application was submitted in the morning and after lunch the prosecution submitted all the demanded documents on the same day.
Chandigargh Police has already filed a chargesheet against Vikas Barala and Ashish Kumar under Section 354D (stalking) and Section 365 (kidnapping or abducting with intent secretly and wrongfully to confine person), Section 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), Section 511 (punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment). Section 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the IPC and Section 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act (driving by a drunk person).
Police has also submitted the
Civil judge and additional district and sessions judge have dismissed bail petition of Vikas Barala. The charges could be framed against them on the next hearing.
Varnika Kundu
was allegedly stalked by Vikas Barala, son of Haryana BJP chief along with his friend Ashish Kumar, the prosecution supplied certain documents as demanded by defence counsel on Thursday and the court adjourned the case for October 6 for consideration of framing of charges against the accused. footage of Sector 9 wherein both the accused can be seen buying liquor from Sector 9 and later stalking Kundu.Civil judge and additional district and sessions judge have dismissed bail petition of Vikas Barala. The charges could be framed against them on the next hearing.
