‘Declare garbage plant proposal as invalid’

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party former president and senior leader Prem Garg has written a communication to Chandigarh administrator Banwarilal Purohit on Wednesday, demanding that the garbage plant proposal at Dadumajra be declared invalid. He said that the proposal of the plant should be brought back on the agenda of the House, and it should be forwarded only after conducting a public opinion cum survey from among the people and local residents of Daddu Majra area. Commenting on the ruckus inside the house, Garg demanded that the administrator of Chandigarh or the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation should make the audio recording of councillor’s mike public, so that “falsehood” is exposed. “Public should also know who has spoken abusive words, whether it was councillor Ladi or MP Kiron Kher. However, due to the fraud perpetrated by the BJP on almost all important occasions, from the mayoral elections to the House, we see no hope of the recording made public,” he said.
