Daler Mehndi's wife withdraws bail plea

PATIALA: Daljit Kaur and Balwinder Kaur, wives of Daler Mehndi and Shamsher Mehndi, accused in the illegal immigration racket case, have withdrawn their anticipatory bail pleas from a local court here.
Divulging this, Kundan Singh Nagra, counsel for the two women, said that they had withdrawn the application "at this stage". However, no reason was cited for withdrawal of the bail applications.
It may be stated that during the hearing on the bail pleas on October 18, Nagra had stated before the court that he would like to take fresh instructions from his clients in the case.
The court has permitted the applicants to withdraw the bail pleas.
