LUDHIANA: A 27-year-old cop was critically injured after he shot himself in the head inside his car near

Neelon

bridge in Samrala on Sunday noon.

Police said around noon, constable Navjeet Singh of

Hoshiarpur

reached near Neelon bridge in his car and parked it on the roadside. He then took out his service revolver and shot himself in the right temple.

On hearing the shot, passers-by rushed towards his car and informed the police. Cops from Samrala police station reached the spot. ASI
