Constitution Day celebrated

Chandigarh Congress on Saturday celebrated the ‘Constitution Day’ at Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution and taking an oath to work for a pluralistic, and democratic India.

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Congress on Saturday celebrated the ‘Constitution Day’ at Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, by reading out the Preamble of the Constitution and taking an oath to work for a pluralistic, and democratic India.
A lecture on evolution of the Constitution as reflected in judicial pronouncements over the years was organised in the occasion. Delivering the keynote address Dr. DN Jauhar, a noted law educator and former vice-chancellor of Dr. BR Ambedkar University, Agra, stated that for two years the constituent assembly toiled to bring out the document, which is a now known as the Constitution . He urged the people to read the debates of constituent assembly to learn that the letter and the spirit of the Constitution represents the ethos of India. tnn
