CHANDIGARH: Shiromani Akali Dal on Tuesday dared Punjab Congress chief Amarinder Singh to clear his stand on whether his party was ready to forge an electoral alliance with Navjot Singh Sidhu-led Awaaz-e-Punjab or not.
"An unusual situation has developed and people of the state are totally confused over the different stands being taken by different opposition parties and groups of the state.

It is ironical to note that on side Capt Amarinder Singh dubs the self-styled Awaaz-e-Punjab as a tonga party and on the other hand their leaders are talking of forging an unprincipled alliance with the same the Congress," said SAD spokesperson Daljit Cheema.
He took potshots at Awaaz-e-Punjab, saying that though its leaders were calling their front as non-political again and again, they were also trying to bargain with different opposition parties for a political space to save their own seats. "It is clear that none of the opposition parties or groups have any positive policy or programme for the people of the state. These facts will be revealed in the results of the coming assembly elections," he added.
