YAMUNANAGAR: Congress and BJP got a big jolt in the district when several sarpanches from various villages resigned from Congress and BJP to join Indian National Lok Dal in the presence of its state president Sher Singh Badshami.
Badshami addressed a series of meetings in several villages at Kandrouly, Gumthala, Khajury and Silli Kalan of Radaur constituency near here on Tuesday.

Surender Singh and Ram Rattan, both sarpanches of Kandrouly and Khajury left the Congress and joined INLD and Veerbhan, vice president of BJP, Radaur Mandal and Rishi Pal, sarpanch of Silli Kanan village left BJP and joined INLD with their supporters.
All sarpanches expressed full faith in the leadership of Om Parkash Chautala who has introduced number of welfare and development activities in the state. They said that they felt suffocated in Congress and BJP that is why they decided to join the INLD.
While welcoming the new members Badshami, president of INLD Haryana said that due importance will be given to all these party men. Referring to the developmental work undertaken during the last four years, he asserted that all round development of the state had become possible due to implementation of innovative schemes and time frame fixed for completing the same in a systematic way.
Badshami claimed that INLD government had executed development work in such a large number that the name of Haryana should figure in Guiness Book of world records.
Badshami said that more than forty thousand development activities have been undertaken in the state in last four years. He said that INLD is the only party which gives due respect to the workers.
The president added that fifty thousand government jobs would be provided to unemployed
youth and in the last four years government has provided thousands of jobs to the deserving candidates.
Badshami lashed out at Congress saying that it is a divided house and has lost its base in the state of Haryana. Badshami said that INLD-BJP alliance in Haryana was successful and it has provided clean image to the people of the state.
