‘Co-accused free to travel’

CHANDIGARH: In the castration case against Dera Sacha head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, the special CBI magistrate of Panchkula has permitted co-accused Dr Pankaj Garg to travel to Korea and Europe between June and July.

The permission is conditional. Special CBI magistrate Vinod Kumar has told Dr Garg to be present in court when required and furnish a surety worth Rs 15 lakh. Dr Garg is among the three accused with the dera head and Dr M P Singh. In March, all three got bail in this case but the dera head remained in custody to serve his sentence in other cases.

On Tuesday, the CBI magistrate had summoned two prosecution witnesses for cross-examination.
