CM announces over Rs 20cr development push for Chiyog
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday announced Rs 5.5 crore for the construction of a new building for the Govt Senior Secondary School at Chiyog in Shimla district. He also said Rs 16 crore had been sanctioned for setting up a 66-kilovolt substation in the village.Addressing a public gathering at Chiyog in the Kasumpti assembly constituency, the CM said the CBSE curriculum would be introduced at the Govt Senior Secondary School, Chiyog, from the next academic session.He also assured sufficient funding for roads approved under the Forest Rights Act (FRA). These include key routes such as Bangapani-Chadail, Chiyog-Jathai and Fagu-Sarivan. Support was also listed for the Dharech irrigation project.Sukhu said 151 CBSE schools were being opened across the state, and promised that all these schools would have subject-specific teachers, including those for music and yoga, by June 30. He also highlighted that Himachal Pradesh had achieved full literacy.The CM noted that a 500-kilowatt (KW) solar power plant at Dharech would generate about Rs 14 lakh annually, strengthening rural economies through green panchayats.He announced financial assistance for cultural groups and Rs 1 crore for the beautification of Jai Ishwari Mata Temple complex.Rural development and panchayati raj minister Anirudh Singh was also present.MSID:: 130556201 413 |
