Cheema flags off 5 Volvo buses for Delhi airport route
Chandigarh: Punjab finance minister Harpal Singh Cheema on Tuesday flagged off five new Super Integral Volvo coach buses of Punbus that will operate between Jalandhar, Ludhiana and the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.Cheema said the service was aimed at providing comfortable, safe and affordable connectivity to international travellers, NRIs and other passengers. He said the airport bus service was launched in June 2022 and would be further strengthened with the induction of additional buses.The minister also said Punjab was expanding its public transport fleet, with 696 new buses being added to Punjab Roadways, Punbus and PRTC, including ordinary, air-conditioned and premium coach buses.
