Chd Cong takes out ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’

Chandigarh: Members of the Chandigarh Congress gathered at Krishna market in Sector 41 and took out the Bharat Jodo Yatra from there. The yatra was started under the leadership of H S Lucky, president and Bhupinder Singh Badheri, vice-president of Chandigarh Pradesh Congress. A few office-bearers of the market association also joined the yatra, which was organised by municipal councillor Jasbir Bunty and other local Congress leaders. Party workers expressed concern about increasing unemployment and under-employment. They said that businesses had suffered due to the “shortsighted policies” of the Union government led by PM Narendra Modi. Congress leaders Harphool Kayan, Jatinder Bhatia, G S Kamboj, Achhey Lal Gaur, Kamlesh Banarsi Das, Ravi Thakur, Parveen Narang, Saroj Sharma and Ahmed Ali addressed people and stressed the need to preserve unity of the country. tnn
