Chargesheet filed in toxic injection case

Chandigarh: The UT police have filed chargesheet in the case of a woman allegedly injecting a toxic cocktail into a PGI patient. The UT police has also attached a CFSL report along with the chargesheet, which confirmed that 24- year-old Harmeet Kaur had died due to infection due to a toxic injection.The chargesheet names four accused; Jaspreet Singh, Buta Singh , Mandeep Singh and Jaspreet Kaur, the woman who allegedly administered the injection to the victim. The victim, Harmeet kaur of Rajpura, was admitted to PGI on Nov 7 in a critical condition after referral from another hospital. On November 16, she was shifted to an ICU as a consequence of the unknown substance injected into her, which aggravated her already critical condition. During investigations, police found that the injection had been allegedly administered on the directions of the victim's brother.
