Chandigarh end campaign with 10-wicket win

During their last league match of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy match here on Sunday, Chandigarh registered an emphatic 10-wicket victory against Arunachal Pradesh. In another match, Hyderabad beat Chhattisgarh by 21 runs at , Chandigarh's Sector 16 Stadium.

CHANDIGARH: During their last league match of Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 trophy match here on Sunday, Chandigarh registered an emphatic 10-wicket victory against Arunachal Pradesh. In another match, Hyderabad beat Chhattisgarh by 21 runs at , Chandigarh's Sector 16 Stadium.
Chandigarh has logged four victories from seven matches in the tournament.
Arunachal elected to bat first after winning the toss but managed to make only 106 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs.

The Chandigarh bowlers - Jaskarandeep Singh and Karanveer Singh - wreaked havoc on the batting order at regular intervals and ended with the figures of four wickets for 25 runs and three wickets for 15 runs, respectively.
Shrestha Nirmohi got Shashwat Kohli (4) in the first over and Akhilesh Sahani (5) was dismissed by Jaskarandeep Singh in the second over. The Arunachal middle order collapsed - Suraj Tayam (9), Samarth Seth (9), Captain Song Tacho (5), Techni Neri (0). Top scorer for Arunachal was Uvais Ahmad who made 27 runs off 20 balls. His fellow teammate Rahul Dalal scored 26.
The two other Chandigarh bowlers- Shrestha Nirmohi (1/15) and Anirudh Kanwar - struck gold with a wicket each.
The Chandigarh team had a thunderous start and opening pair of captain Manan Vohra and Shivam Bhambri clinched victory in just the 10 over, with 65 balls remaining. Manan smashed nine boundaries and three sixers to score 68 runs in 32 balls. Bhambri scored quick fire 39 off 23 balls with the help of six boundaries and one sixer.

Hyderabad beat Chhattisgarh
Hyderabad batsman Tanmay Agarwal with an unbeaten 90 runs helped his team beat Chhattisgarh by 21 runs in another league match here on Sunday, giving the team a formidable run rate of 8.7 runs in an over.
Hyderabad scored 174 runs for loss of three wickets in 20 overs - Tanmay smashed 12 boundaries and one sixer in his unbeaten innings and his compatriot Sandeep Bavanaka, who too was unbeaten, scored a quick fire 41 runs off 16 balls with help of three boundaries and four sixers
Their opponent Chhattisgarh, however, only managed 153 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs and managed a creditable run rate of 7.65 but it was not good enough to beat Hyderbad.
For Chhattisgarh, top scorer was captain Harpreet Singh who made 62 runs off 42 balls. His compatriots Ashutosh Singh contributed 23 runs in 13 balls. Hyderabad bowlers Mohammed Siraj, Chama V Milind and Mehdi Hassan shared two wickets each.
