PANCHKULA: In the infamous car robbery case, the Panchkula Crime Investigating Agency on Saturday produced the accused, Praveen Kumar, at a Panchkula court on a production warrant from Chandigarh. UT police had arrested Praveen, who had been involved in many robberies and theft cases, on November 9, 2011.
Praveen, along with his accomplice had robbed a Swift Dzire car at gunpoint on the division of Sector 4 and Sector 11 in Panchkula from
Tarun Sharma, a resident of Sector 19, Panchkula.
It was on March 13, 2011 when the case had hit the headlines. The other accused is still at large.The accused is a resident of Zirakpur .
Panchkula CIA sub-inspector said the Zen car used for the crime was also stolen from somewhere. "They are a gang of four to five youths who have been involved in many other criminal offences. The investigation is still going on," he added.
