BSF nabs teenaged Pakistani intruder from Punjab border

FEROZEPUR: The Border Security Force (BSF) claim to have nabbed a teenaged Pakistani national near the International Border in Punjab's Ferozepur district on Thursday.

According to the BSF, the troops observed the movement of a person in the morning hours near the border fence near Palla Megha village in Ferozepur.

The boy tried to escape, after which the BSF troops chased and apprehended him.

He is being questioned by the BSF and other agencies. Sources said the boy is aged around 15 years.

Rajesh Kumar, Commander of BSF's 116 Battalion, said Rs 363 in Pakistani currency has been recovered from the teenager, who has been handed over to Ferozepur Sadar police.

This is the second intrusion bid at the International Border in the area in the last couple of days.

Earlier, the BSF troops had shot dead a Pakistani intruder near border outpost Sadqi in Abohar sector on Monday.

For some time now, drone activities have also increased continuously on the Indian side from Pakistan.

Every day, drones, heroin and weapons are being recovered from the part of Ferozepur Border Range, which is a matter of concern for the Indian security agencies.
