Chandigarh: The youth of the country’s strategic border regions will be targeted for enhanced job training following high-level talks on Saturday to map out development strategies.
Delhi’s lieutenant governor, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, met with Punjab governor and Chandigarh administrator, Gulab Chand Kataria, at Punjab Lok Bhavan to discuss regional cooperation and national development goals. They focused on integrating youth from border areas into specialided skill development programmes to boost employment and foster self-reliance.
Kataria and Sandhu emphasised that empowering younger generations through targeted vocational training was a key to achieving the central govt’s Viksit Bharat@2047 vision to transform India into a fully developed nation.
