Hisar: A body wrapped in a sack was found under the Siddhmukh Canal bridge near the power house on Hisar Road in Tohana, Fatehabad district. On receiving information, the Tohana City police station in-charge, Kuldeep Singh, reached the spot with a rescue team and recovered the body from the canal.The body was shifted to the mortuary of the civil hospital, Tohana, and preserved for identification. According to a rescue team member, Navjot Dhillon, the deceased appeared to be around 25 years old. He had a heart-shaped tattoo on his chest with letter ‘K' inscribed in the centre. The youth wore an earring, a black thread around his neck, and another thread tied to his leg.

Due to prolonged immersion in water, the body was in a highly decomposed condition, with both hands and one leg badly damaged. The deceased wore a jacket bearing the word ‘Jordan' and black trousers.Investigating officer Dilbag Singh said the body would be kept in the mortuary for 72 hours for identification. Information was circulated to nearby police stations. Anyone who could help identify the deceased based on the description has been asked to contact the Tohana City police station.
