Blind murder case cracked: Hairdresser held for killing realtor in Hansi
Hisar: The Hansi police have cracked a blind murder of a property dealer in Sector-6, Hansi, within 2 days of the incident, arresting the main accused in the case. DGP Ajay Singhal has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for the police team for scientifically solving the case. According to Superintendent of Police Amit Yashwardhan, Gurmeet, a resident of village Bhaini Maharajpur of Hansi district and a former hairdresser of the deceased property dealer Subhash Chandra, was arrested, while efforts are on to apprehend his accomplices, who are currently absconding.
The murder took place on Feb 3, 2026, at the victim's office in Sector-6 under the City Police Station area. Subhash Chandra was allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons and robbed of a gold chain and other valuables. Initially, no direct clues were available, making the case highly sensitive and challenging. SP Yashwardhan said that police teams immediately reached the spot and collected evidence using scientific and legal methods. He personally inspected the crime scene and guided the investigating officers. Based on statements from the victim's family, a case of murder was registered against unknown persons, and 15 special teams were constituted to trace the accused.Despite limited leads, the investigation progressed through technical analysis and evidence-based inputs, leading to the arrest of Gurmeet on Thursday night. The accused sustained injuries while attempting to flee, police said.During preliminary interrogation, Gurmeet disclosed that around 1 and a half months ago, he travelled to Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh, where he befriended Pawan, Mahendra, Sanju and Akash. The group remained in constant contact and later stayed at Gurmeet's residence in Hansi. To arrange money for travel expenses, they allegedly planned a robbery. Police said Gurmeet earlier ran a salon in Sector-5, Hansi, which Subhash Chandra regularly visited. Noting that the victim often wore gold jewellery, the accused allegedly conspired with his associates to rob him. Gurmeet is said to have provided his motorcycle for executing the crime, which ultimately led to the murder. Congratulating the Hansi police, DGP Ajay Singhal said the team would be awarded Rs 50,000 along with a commendation certificate.
