Bishnoi gang arms supplier arrested
Panchkula: The crime branch of the police has arrested a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang and recovered three pistols and two live cartridges from him.
Arvind Kamboj, assistant commissioner of police (ACP), crime branch, said Satbir Singh alias Satbir Gujjar (30), a resident of Bijanpur village, Derabassi, Mohali, has 11 cases of attempt to murder, extortion and using a mobile mobile in jail registered against him in Panchkula, Ambala and Chandigarh, and was out on bail.

He used to double up as a property dealer in his village.
The ACP said Satbir Singh was arrested following the interrogation of Sahil (21), a resident of Hisar and Ravi Raj (20), a resident of Hansi, arrested from Raipur Rani with six country-made pistols, a country-made pistol, seven magazines and nine live cartridges on April 11. The two had told the police that they had purchased the weapons from Satbir, who had allegedly arranged the weapons from Madhya Pradesh. The ACP said Satbir came into contact with Lawrence Bishnoi gang members when he was in jail and started working for them. He also was a classmate of Sampat Nehra, a close aide of Lawrence Bishnoi.
Satbir used to provide weapons to gangsters and was also involved in one extortion case registered with Panchkula police on the complaint of Chain Singh, a resident of Pinjore, on February 7. The accused had allegedly threatened the victim of chopping his son’s hands and legs if his demands were not met.
The accused was also involved in the case where he along with his partners Sampat Nehra, Deepu Banur, Mandeep Mani and Joginder had come to civil hospital Sector-6 and sprayed red chilli powder in the eyes of three policemen and helped Deepak alias Tinu in escaping from police custody. The incident had occurred on June 17, 2017. After completion of his five days remand, a court remanded him to judicial custody.
