Biker hit by SUV, dies

A 51-year-old employee of a private tractor company in Chappar Chiri village of Mohali was killed in a road accident at Phase VIII-B, industrial area.
He was on his way home from work on his motorcycle. Police officials said the victim was identified as Dilbagh Singh, a resident of Sector-40, and his motorcycle was hit by a recklessly driven SUV coming from the opposite direction.
Dilbagh Singh died on the spot and the SUV hit another motorcycle which was been driven by Daljit Singh. However, Daljit Singh told the cops that he was driving on the wrong side of the road and he sustained injuries. He told the police that the SUV rammed a divider before coming to a halt.
