<div class="section1"><div class="Normal">CHANDIGARH: All the documents pertaining to the case registered by Punjab vigilance bureau against the former chief minister and president of the Shiromani Akali Dal Prakash Singh Badal, his family members and associates were handed over to the respondents at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.<br /><br />The bureau officers led by the superintendent of police Surinder Pal Singh handed over these documents running into several thousand pages to the counsel for the petitioner Harbans Lal a resident village Kalianwali police station Lambi district Mukatsar, who is the manager a petrol pump owned by the Badals.

He had approached the High Court for directions to the state government for supplying copies of the related documents free of cost so that the accused could know the basis for the registration of cases against them among other under the prevention of corruption act. <br /><br />Four vehicles carrying the ten copies each of the documents arrived at the High Court complex in the afternoon where the petition preferred by Harbans Lal was due to come up before Justice K S Garedwal. <br /><br />However, the petition was rendered infructuous in the face of the copies of the documents, one each for the nine accused, were handed over to the concerned counsel who represents all of them. <br /><br />The accused in case registered on June 24,2003 at the vigilance bureau flying squad, Mohali, included Prakash Singh Badal, his wife Surinder Kaur, his son Rajya Sabha member Sukhbir Singh Badal, his oficer-on-special duty (OSD) Hardip Singh among others. <br /><formid=367815></formid=367815></div> </div>
