BATHINDA: Singers Babbu Mann and Mankirt Aulakh separately appeared before the special investigation team (SIT) probing the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala on Wednesday.
The SIT is learnt to have questioned both for hours at the Mansa CIA office and posed questions related to the killing and money, if any.
It is learnt police had prepared a questionnaire and asked about the money trail in music industry.
Mansa senior superintendent of police (SSP) Nanak Singh was tightlipped about what happened during questioning.
“We have asked them what was needed. Police will look into their answers,” the SSP said.
Earlier, Punjab Police had sent summons to the two to record their statements. Summons have also been sent to music director Nishan Singh. Youth Akali Dal slain leader Vicky Middukhera’s brother, Ajaypal Singh, too was summoned by the police. He has already appeared before THE police.
Moose Wala’s father, Balkaur Singh, had been levelling charges against some singers and had been saying that certain people living in upscale colonies in Mohali were behind the crime and they needed to be investigated.
