Auto lifter held with stolen bikes

Chandigarh: Police arrested an auto-lifter and claimed to have recovered two stolen bikes from his possession. Police produced the accused in a local court, which remanded him in 14-day judicial custody. The accused was identified as Harvinder Singh, 32, a resident of Phase 11, Mohali. The complainant, Gagan Sharma of Sector 63, Chandigarh, said some unknown person stole his bike, which was parked near his house on April 17. A case was registered. During investigation, police arrested Harvinder Singh and claimed to have recovered the two stolen bikes from his possession.
