chief Subhash Barala’s son Vikas, Kundu Khap of Rohtak blocked the Rohtak-Jind road on Tuesday to demand the immediate arrest of the accused in the case. Residents of Titoli, Sunderpur and Sisroli villages in Rohtak district protested for about two hours.

The protesters gave a memorandum to the district administration demanding the arrest of the two within a week and threatened to renew their blockade if the two were not arrested. Khap leader

said Chandigarh police were acting under pressure and attempting to save Barala’s son.

“The state government has been working overtime to pressure the police to dilute the case to provide an easy exit to Vikas, but we will not let it happen,” he said, adding that the culprits should be booked for the actual crimes and justice done. said protesters had blocked the road in protest against the alleged stalking of the woman and had submitted a memorandum of their demands to be given to the state government. Subhash Barala’s son Vikas Barala (23) and Ashish Kumar (27) were arrested on Saturday for allegedly stalking the 29-year-old Varnika Kundu. However, both were released later on bail as they were booked under bailable sections of the IPC and the Motor Vehicles Act. Varnika’s father, a senior IAS officer, belongs to Kundu clan.
