Another teenage girl goes missing

MOHALI: A 17-year-old girl went missing from her home since January 31, and a case in this matter was registered on Tuesday.
The incident took place when the girl - identified as Manpreet Kaur - went to market to buy grocery items, but never returned home.
Father of the girl, Bhangi Ram, has alleged that Shah Alam - a youth from the neighborhood - has kidnapped her daughter.According to sources, the accused used to follow Manpreet to her school and back home. They also seem to have an affair about which the parents had no clue.
In his complaint, the father has also alleged that the accused has lured her daughter for marriage which is illegal as she is yet to attain the age of 18. However, police has registered case against the accused Shah Alam, who is still at large, under section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and 366A (procreation of a minor girl) of the IPC.
This is the seventh incident of abduction of teenage girls in Mohali district and none of the abducted girls have been located either by police or their parents.
