Another car goes up in flames

Ludhiana: In second such incident in as many days, a Maruti 800 car caught fire on Southern Bypass near Ferozepur Road on Saturday morning. The car owner escaped unhurt.
At 11:30am, Pawan Malhotra of New Shimlapuri area was going towards Ferozepur Road from Dugri when he noticed smoke coming out of the car bonnet. He immediately stopped the car and came out of it.Soon after that, the car caught fire.
Later, fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire.
On Friday, a Mercedes Benz had caught fire in Model Town Extension. The car driver, Manjot Singh, was rescued by the commuters.
