With no political stage to deliver massages, no political and official hustle bustle, in line to model code of conduct, the martyrdom day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev passed off in the simplest fashion, here on Tuesday.
Punjab Chief Minister, Captain Amrinder Singh, who arrived about an hour behind schedule to pay tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at their ''samadhi stahl'' on the bank of Sutlej, and garlanded the martyr''s busts, where Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were cremated.

Later on, he also laid wraths on the samadhis of B K Dutt and Punjab Mata, the mother of shaheed Bhagat Singh. On this occasion while paying homage to the martyrs, the Chief Minister said that they made supreme sacrifices for the noble cause of their motherland and upholds the glorious traditions of patriotism.
He also urged the younger generations to inculcate the spirit of patriotism amongst themselves as a tribute to the great martyrs of the nation. Prominent amongst others who were present on the occasion included H S Hanspal, State Congress President, Mohinder Kumar Rinwa, Hans Raj Jossan and Ravinder Singh Sandhu (all Parliamentary Secretaries), Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi, Sunil Jakhar and Parkash Singh Bhatti, all MLAs.
