Panchkula: The campaign of former Haryana deputy chief minister Chander Mohan, Congress candidate from Panchkula Assembly, on Monday got a boost when a delegation of Agarwal community members reached his Panchkula residence in large numbers and promised to give him full support.
In this delegation, dignitaries associated with various organizations of Panchkula Agrawal Samaj took part in which Satya Kumar Gupta, founder of Agrawal Sabha; Lakhmi Chand Garg, president, Sanatan Dharma Charitable Trust, Panchkula, and Dr. Naresh Mittal met Chander Mohan.
The former deputy chief minister said he was aware about the problems being faced by the Agarwal community and elections of the Agrawal Sabha, Panchkula, had been stalled due to the influence of the sitting MLA due to which there was resentment in the community.
Chander Mohan assured that if he was voted to power, this problem of Agarwal community would definitely be solved and people of the Agarwal community also assured Chander Mohan of their support in the upcoming elections.

The Chief Electoral Officer of Haryana reported that after withdrawals, 1031 candidates remain for the 2024 State Assembly elections. The nomination period ended on September 12, with voting set for October 5 and results to be announced on October 8. The elections cover all of Haryana's 90 assembly constituencies.
