PANCHKULA: Local unit of the
BJP has alleged that the administration was favouring candidates of the ruling
Congress and had disallowed them from hoisting party flags at various places in the city.
Vishal Seth in charge of BJP in Panchkula said the authorities had removed party flags from various houses in Rajiv Colony whereas flags of other contesting parties were still intact.
He said the government���s discriminatory attitude did not fit in the democratic setup. Meanwhile, a meeting of senior workers of the BJP was also convened at the party���s office in Sector-2.
Dr Rakesh Bindal, health minister of Himachal Pradesh, and others spoke on various issues and refuted claims made by the ruling party led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda. He also discussed various health facilities available to the common man. Bindal further said the government had only favoured Rohtak and ensured development in areas of health, education and industrial infrastructure.
���Various schemes have been mooted by the Centre, but only Rohtak seems to be the main beneficiary,��� he said. Meanwhile, senior leader Rekha Sharma, municipal councillors VK Sood, CB Goel and BB Singal, president youth wing Shiv Kumar Gupta, general secretary Arun Guleria and Chandigarh state president Gurpreet Singh Dhillon were also present on the occasion.
