HISAR: Jai Prakash ‘JP’ of the Congress, who lost the just-concluded Adampur assembly byelection in Haryana, reached the government girls’ school of Khairampur village on Thursday to join ‘Save School Save Education’ Committee’s protest against the shortage of teachers and condemn the fire that was set to its tents to uproot the dharna.
Addressing the protesters, Jai Parkash said: “The voters of Khairmpur shook the Bhajan Lal family by voting against it for the first time in 54 years.

I stand by the villagers, against the hooliganism that Kuldeep Bishnoi’s supporters have stooped to. They tried to attack me in Hisar also.” He told the villagers not to be afraid and call him when required. He alleged that: “The fire was a cowardly act of Kuldeep Bishnoi’s supporters. After counting, they also attacked my car. The BJP has won the byelection by using money and muscle power, and by misusing the government machinery. I thank the voters of Adampur for their support.”
The Adampur police booked six village youths for the fire incident. The protest had been going on for 68 days.
